Men's 4XI vs Epsom Mustangs

We all arrived at the pitch. It was raining, cold, and turning dark, but we were all looking forward to the game. Torben, our Captain, arrived, and we started to warm up on the pitch, going through our drills.

The game started with us playing a solid 4-3-3, and although we started slowly, we worked our way into the game. It was very even. We would attack and then defend in a cycle. Halfway through the first half, we worked the ball into their D, and Jowan managed to win a foul to give us the first of many short-corners. We didn't manage to score with the first one, but after countering again, we managed to get into the middle of their D, where Jowan applied a slight touch for us to take the lead 1-0.

The other team responded and, after many attacks, managed to equalise. It was all to play for.

Half-time hit, and we returned to the dugout for a motivational team talk from Torben. We were ready to go for the second half.

The same play in the first half was happening again with the cycle of attacking then defending, but then we got a second goal through a short corner, and we were 2-1 up. The other team levelled the score again by a defensive error, leading to a beautiful goal by their striker. We were annoyed, and using that emotion, we managed to get a short corner where Neil hit the post, and the full-time whistle blew. 2-2. A decent performance by the team.
