Pick up a stick

Sarah Wight Uncategorized

Pick up a stick and join us at Epsom Hockey Club. As both senior and junior members return to pre-season training from August, now is the time to come together and start preparing for the 2021-22 hockey season, one with new leagues and challenges.

Please can all current members check teamo and update your availability. The senior training schedule can be found here http://www.epsomhc.co.uk/training-information/.

New members of all abilities are welcome here at Epsom Hockey Club. If you’re new to the area, fancy a change, a new challenge or want to pick up a stick and give hockey a go, we have plenty of competitive senior teams as well as regular back to hockey and walking hockey sessions; plus of course, a thriving junior section. In conclusion, here at Epsom HC, we have a team for everyone! Interested in joining us? Great! Get in touch. We look forward to welcoming you.

New season, new leagues

It’s all change for the 2021-22 season as our ladies teams join the new South East Area leagues. Our L1s enter the South East Premier and our L2s in Division 1, both with fixtures against new clubs in the region. Our L3s – L6s will play hockey in the Oaks Divisions 1, 2 and 5 alongside plenty of Surrey teams.
Join us for a new challenge and a social ladies Club day on 28 August. Exciting (hockey) times ahead!

Our M1s start the 2021-22 season in the London Premier league with new coach Jamie O’Connell raring to go! In addition, our M2s will play London Division 3 (South) and our M3s and Mustangs will play in Division 5 and 6 (South West). Meanwhile our M5s, Mavericks and 7s enter the new South East Oaks leagues in Divisions 3, 4 and 6. At the senior end of the Club, our Embers and Old School teams will strive for more success in the London Masters Premier leagues and our Vagabonds are entered into the Wessex Seniors Fixtures Alliance.

How to get your Epsom HC kit

All our playing and training hockey kit is available to buy online from Stevenson’s in Epsom town centre. So, if you need to get some new kit please head here for further information about ordering it (and do so soon!).

Amazing Volunteers

Here at Epsom Hockey Club we are a friendly community and we’re proud of all our members who step up and volunteer their time and efforts to the running of the Club. As the new season begins, we look forward to expanding our volunteer network – many hands make light work – so please help out where and when you can. Your Club needs you!

Play Safe – England Hockey guidance

Please continue to play safe and check-in at venues, respecting other players, officials and volunteers. The latest guidance on playing and managing Covid (published mid-July 2021) from England Hockey can be found here.

Here at Epsom HC our amazing volunteer Covid Officer is Emma Dale. If you show symptoms of COVID-19 DO NOT attend training or a game. Firstly phone NHS Track and Trace and let our Covid Officer know immediately (welfare@epsomhc.co.uk).
