Return to hockey – it’s been great to see so many members enjoying their hockey safely this summer.
Everyone involved in the Club – players, coaches, volunteers, officials and spectators – has a responsibility to read and comply with the guidelines.
UPDATE: Return to play from 17 May 2021 – The UK is now in ‘Step 3’ of the Government Roadmap. This allows hockey to move to ‘Step 5’ guidelines set out by England Hockey, allowing full competitive match play, plus resumption of leagues and competitions. Travel restrictions now allow car sharing between people from different household groups. It is recommended that best practice is followed in line with the Government – Safe Travel Guidance. Spectators are now permitted in all outdoor and indoor settings regardless of whether the facility is on public or private land. Social distancing rules and social gathering limits for each setting must be followed at all times – discrete groups of 30 outdoors and groups of six or two households indoors. The latest England Hockey FAQs can be found here.
Most importantly, in order to play hockey, all participants MUST complete the online England Hockey Participant Agreement (see below). By doing so, you agree to follow the England Hockey Terms and Conditions and Code of Ethics and Behaviour:

Visiting Old Schools Lane
Check-in can be done via the teamo PlaySafe posters. Scan the QR code with your smartphone camera/ QR reader app or check-in via this link.
It takes less than a minute and means we are each doing our self-assessment (part of our Participant Agreement). As a result, in the event of a COVID-19 case being reported, the Club can contact everyone we need to.
Anyone can access PlaySafe (they don’t need to have the teamo app). Check-in applies to visiting players, officials and spectators as well as those from Epsom HC.
